New Ellen G. White Estate Privacy Policy Notice
The Ellen G. White Estate strives towards giving you the best possible experience while using EGW Writings apps and Websites. Our goal is to provide users excellent service when searching, reading, and studying the writings of Ellen G. White. Our privacy policy is to be as open as possible to users of our services, about what personal data we collect, how it is used, and with whom it is shared.
This email is to inform you that we’re actively working on updating our services and privacy policy in response to the increased transparency requirements of the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You will notice some changes on May 25th to our Privacy Policy when signing into EGW Writings apps or websites.
The White Estate’s privacy policy will always be to provide users information about what personal data we collect and what we do to protect your personal data. This email is to inform you of the enhancements to that Privacy Policy regarding your:
your privacy rights and how to exercise them;
how we collect, use, share and protect your personal data, and
the legal bases we rely on to process your personal data.
Over the coming weeks, we will be updating our apps, websites and services to give you greater control over managing your EGW Writings services and data in your Control Panel (cpanel). When you sign into EGW Writings you will see our updated Privacy Policy and End User License Agreement. A new check box in cpanel account will enable you to delete your account including any data we have collected on EGW Writings Apps, Websites, and Services. The White Estate will also be providing in the cpanel, the ability to request a backup of your personal study center data, via a download link, before you choose to delete your account permanently.
